EDENESQUE: Of or like the Garden of Eden; represents a return to the basics of clean and healthy eating.
Our founder Leslie Woodward is a veteran chef with 20+ years of experience, and has seen firsthand how deeply nutrition is linked to overall health and well-being. Throughout her career as a Black female chef she took particular note of how community health was being harmed as foods became more highly processed and filled with artificial ingredients. She began to examine diet-related illness in communities of color and kept coming back to the inaccessibility of high-quality, nutrient-dense foods as the primary culprit.
Leslie became inspired to support her community’s health with her culinary skills, so she set out to create a line of delicious, indulgent products that would foster health and nutrition. But Leslie knew that whole health requires much more than just great ingredients; unless the product supported environmental sustainability and community well-being, it wouldn’t live up to her expectations.
Edenesque is the culmination of this mission: outrageously delicious plant-based milks that reflect Leslie’s values. Our nut and oat milks are made using whole ingredients that support and strengthen bodies without any fillers or additives. We source from sustainable farmers who are building soil health and supporting biodiversity across their landscapes. And we put our community first by making our products accessible in food-insecure neighborhoods and hiring differently abled and justice-impacted team members.
